We have joined up with Vision Sisters – a movement of compassionate, caring Australian women who want to come alongside our sisters in the world’s poorest countries. As a church and community we are aiming to raise funds to help mothers in Uganda with clean birthing kits and the support of a community health worker.
And we can’t do this amazing initiative alone. We would love you to be part of this work and help us raise funds that can provide mothers and babies with access to a clean birth and essential child health services.
To fundraise and support this work we will be holding a Zumbathon and healthy treats event in the afternoon on Saturday 12th November at 3pm. Come along, have a dance and a healthy smoothie and help us raise funds for the project. All donations will be used to provide clean birthing kits and help train community health workers so women and children can access maternal, newborn and child health services.
Our fundraising will help us fund a Birthing Kit Packing evening which we will hold on evening of Thursday 17th November. You are invited and very welcome to come along to this event where as a community we will prepare and pack the birthing kits we have purchased ready to send to Uganda.
