“I’ve always joined a small group as part of my Christian journey. I’ve come to realise over the years that faith is intrinsically linked to relationships: our relationship with God and with one another.
Being in a small group gives you the opportunity and privilege to be a part of someone else’s life. By praying for other group members, it invites us to have a focus on more than just ourselves. Being a part of the community where you live with other Christians ultimately strengthens your faith in God and what He’s doing in the community.
During the difficult times of the last six months in my life, my small group has been incredibly encouraging as we shared our experiences. And just knowing that someone is praying for you, makes a really big difference. The many acts of kindness that were shown to me during this time – it makes you feel good, it makes you feel valued and it helps build trust and faith in God. God feels very present through the acts of other people, and it makes you feel part of something larger than just ourselves.”
