Appointment of a Community Children’s Ministry Coordinator

There are a growing number of young people in the congregation and in the local area. The church has decided to strengthen our longstanding commitment to young people by employing a Children’s Ministry Coordinator 3 days a week.

As we went through the recruitment process, the Deacons felt that based on the applications we received and the skills required we should split the roll; separating out the internal focus for Children’s Ministry (ie Kids Club), from the external community focus (ie Playgroup and the new initiatives we wish to launch in this area).

So the two roles we have created are:

  • Community Children’s Ministry Coordinator – 2 Days a Week
  • Kids Club Ministry Coordinator – 1 Days a Week

About the Community Children’s Ministry Coordinator

The key focus of this role is to give overall leadership to ministries, programs and approaches designed to connect with children and families in the local community. The purpose of this connection is to build relationships of trust and provide practical support to people outside of the church that demonstrates the love of God and draws people to Christ.
