Giving our tithes and offerings reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us.
… and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work

Exodus 35:21 (TNIV)

Church Finance Facts

As a Victorian Baptist Church, our congregation is completely financially independent. This means that we are responsible for paying all of our own bills (salaries, ministry expenses, missions, insurance, utilities, etc.).

Church finances are managed by the Treasurer who is appointed by the Church Membership.  The Church’s financial accounts are independently audited annually.  Audited accounts are presented to the Church membership at the Annual General Meeting.

Tithing to churches in Australia is not tax deductible. Donations are only tax deductible when organisations who meet specific criteria set by the Australian Tax Office and have been granted ‘DGR‘ (Deductible Gift Recipient) Status.
