After much discussion, thought and prayer, the decision has been made by the Church’s leadership , to suspend Sunday worship services in our church building effective immediately, until further notice.
In light of recent Prime Minister’s announcements, along with BUV recommendations, and a positive COVID-19 test in our neighbourhood (Middle Park Primary School), we believe it is the responsible decision to close the church building from Monday 23rd March for any activities that gather people together. On Sunday 22 March there will be no church service, but for those who are well and willing, the church will be “Open For Prayer” from 10 am, with social distancing encouraged. We haven’t come to this decision lightly and we do so with our wholehearted love for you all and the greater community at the forefront of our hearts and minds.
Please note, however, this does not mean we are closing our church! Jesus never intended for His church to be a building. His church was founded on the faith and the fellowship of His people and our fellowship and church at Albert Park will continue and be emboldened by God’s Spirit during this time. Our church is the family of wonderful people reading this now. We will look a bit different, and try some new things, but we will carry on together.
